Railway Jobs- How to get it?

The Indian Railway is the widest railway network and also the biggest single job provider in the world.Many of students scoring their place in railway and leading a secure and happy life. Indian railway network is divided into 17 different zones and then divisions. The zones are under the jurisdiction of General Manager who is directly answerable to the Railway Boards and the divisions are in under the control of the divisional Railway Manager. Officers of engineering divisions and other departments reports to DRM. The duties what the officers performs are maintenance of things and other operational activities. There are 3 to 6  division under each zone. It depends on the size of the zone.There are total 68 divisions an own headquarter is available for every division.

There are 4 groups in Railway Jobs- Group A, Group B,Group C,Group D. Group A and B are of officers.

UPSC conducts an exam. Which is the only source to get a Railway Job. You need to appear in that exam need to score qualifying marks. There are three exams you can appear in to get selected.

1.Civil Services Exam:   a) Traffic Services
                                      b) Accounts Services
                                      c) Personal Services
                                      d) Protection Force


2.Engineering Services Exam: a) Service of engineers
                                                 b) Stores Services
                                                 c) Mechanical Engineers
                                                 d) Signal Engineers
                                                 e) Electrical Engineers


3. Medical Services Exam

Eligibility:  Age limit-Candidate must of or under 30.
               Qualification- Candidate must be graduate
   Note- Final year students can also try their luck.
